  1. Hello, With the billing cycles enhancement am I right in thinking it's now possible to have a subscription package that costs say $20 initially and then $5 per month/year etc?
  2. Hopes Messi has slipped and broken his leg in the shower this morning..

  3. Hello, I currently use IP.Board 2.3.6 and monetise my community using the Subscriptions module. Firstly, I've seen quite a bit of negativity from fellow Subscriptions-users regarding the switch to Nexus, I'm basically seeking some reassurance that whatever issues existed - are now gone. Existing Nexus users please speak up. Our subscription package(s) are critical to the success and continuation of our site, so I need to be 100% sure that Nexus is the right path to take, as I'm sure you'll understand. My questions: Look forward to hearing from you! :) [*]I'd like to set up a subscription package that is billed quarterly, except the initial payment, which will be a one-off amount. Is this possible? [*]Referring to the above question, how does this tie-in with PayPal and automatic renewals. [*]Is it possible to have one package/membership but multiple billing options (Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly etc)? [*]If so, can the price change depending on the option taken, for example to lower the overall cost slightly for an up-front yearly payment? [*]If I have a user that cancels his/her subscription via PayPal, what is the situation thereafter? For example, does he/she still get an invoice which can be paid (and an option to set up the subscription with PayPal again)? [*]Is there a settable duration period in which users have to pay their invoice before the subscription is cancelled/terminated? [*]Finally, why should I use Nexus over the IP.Subscriptions module?
  4. Yes, it is a link to bring you to the area/section of the last action, not perform the action. Big difference there! So yes, this is without doubt a pretty serious flaw
  5. I can’t stand those interfering people who bang on your door and tell you how you need to be “saved” or you’ll “burn”. Bloody firemen.

  6. @cargelock: No, but I'll give it a try next time (assuming the one I've linked to doesn't quite cut it). @DreamPhysix: I have Wubi/Ubuntu, but for a simple task like this a PHP script is more than sufficient. To be honest I was being a bit lazy, I've discovered it's a lot easier to spend a couple of minutes writing code than wasting half an hour looking for software that might do the trick! :D
  7. Hello, Does anyone know if the following is even possible to mass-rename? If so, how?! Some of the files are incorrectly named and have the artist/title switched, e.g: SFKK28-06 - So What - Pink.mp3 When it should be: SFKK28-06 - Pink - So What.mp3 The format required is: <Song ID> - <Artist> - <Title>.ext Any ideas how to fix this without manually editing hundreds of files? Luckily all the incorrect ones are in the same folder, I just need a way to mass rename them. Edit: Never mind, wrote a small PHP script which took care of this nicely.
  8. In case anyone stumbles across this thread in the future, I ended up using the following program, it's really good! http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Features.php
  9. Thanks guys, I've ordered that one. Great price too! :)
  10. Hello, In order to have a separate/extended screen (for a Karaoke set-up) I've linked my laptop to my PC monitor using a VGA lead, which works fine, except it's a pretty short wire, so am looking to buy a longer one. I'd started to look around for the best offers when I wondered if it had to be a VGA cable? My laptop has a HDMI output, monitor has DVI input, so could I use something like this instead? http://www.amazon.co.uk/5m-HDMI-DVI-Cable-Premium/dp/B001NXPR92/ref=sr_1_30?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1291946004&sr=1-30 I'd obviously prefer to buy that, as it could then always be used to connect my laptop to my HDTV if the need arose. Thanks in advance for any advice on this, I'm clueless when it comes to hardware!
  11. Hello, I'm looking for a decent tool (Windows) to scan selected folders/sub-folders and rename (potentially thousands of) files using regular expressions. As an example of one task, it'll need to check a folder (containing several sub-folders) and change the name of files like: SFGD017 - 16 - Verve - Lucky Man.zip To: SFGD017-16 - Verve - Lucky Man.zip So, in this particular case, removing the first two spaces. Can anyone recommend one? :)
  12. Actually you're wrong, this is a (general) Technical Chat forum which is designed specifically for this kind of topic, not for IPS product discussion! >_<
  13. Smart arse :P
  14. This isn't an IPS support query, it's fine here..
  15. Hello, This is due to cross-domain security measures introduced in Flash 9. Official documentation on your particular issue can be found here. The solution is to make use of the "allowScriptAccess" parameter. Example, change: <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="120" height="240"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.infoauto.sk/autoobuv/autoobuv_120x240.swf"> <param name="quality" value="high"> <embed src="http://www.infoauto.sk/autoobuv/autoobuv_120x240.swf" quality="high" width="120" height="240" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"> </embed> </object> to: <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="120" height="240"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.infoauto.sk/autoobuv/autoobuv_120x240.swf"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"> <param name="quality" value="high"> <embed src="http://www.infoauto.sk/autoobuv/autoobuv_120x240.swf" quality="high" width="120" height="240" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" allowScriptAccess="always"> </embed> </object> ... and your flash buttons will work fine :)
