  1. So, to me, this is absolutely bonkers. IPS' team has noticed that their plugin community is a fraction of what it used to be, thinks this is because everyone has switched to bespoke work (You sure it's not the other way around? People using bespoke work /because/ the plugin community has a fraction of the size it did back when there was a free version and before IPS was trying to be everything for every person by default?). So they /murder/ pre-made plugins. No, we're not going to see thriving new marketplaces. Excited devs will start some, none of these will be as active as the current one, most if not all of these efforts will peter out quickly. Not having the marketplace in the panel, not having them vetted by IPS, not having people browse over them prior to purchasing IPS (and plan out a setup with plugins), not having their plugins listed on IPS' websites are all small cuts that together, cut deep. IPS' website was never a limiter on other marketplaces (they've always existed for themes and some plugins), but free advertisement to those who did have those. You're merely taking away an option and your stamp of approval. And you do this brilliant move in the middle of a version, announcing it to your costumers roughly a month up-front. Definitely not obvious you're springing it this way to ensure customers don't either, mass-hug a former major version to keep their plugins, or start planning migrations away from IPS between the time of announcement and release. Now, months after it happened, I google 'Invisionpower plugins marketplace' and find nothing on the first page. Sincerely, as someone who was a fan once of IPS, you people suck.
  2. It seems I can't edit it anymore, but: I am 90% sure this is a bug in the REST api, and would like a workaround if possible, or an indication it works fine elsewhere so I can start looking into potential causes. With all customizations disabled, the same happens: We use community in the cloud.
  3. There's a message on the user's profile that says they got warned via rest API: Banned But above revoke, it says "No Restrictions Applied", the ban button is still there and they say they can browse the forum as normal. I used the POST endpoint for warnings and some parts of the UI (e.g. the ban button) offer different options (no group movings or IP bans, for the ban button). But the red banner above their profile in the ACP, stating they are banned, fails to show as well.
  4. Role-syncing is nice, but that it doesn’t seem to have any way of not propagating unpublished blog posts kind of gimps notifications of blogs. Shame 😕
  5. Thank you! That would be great. I imagine requesting an oauth token for every member wouldn’t be wonderful. Our usecase is that we want to add a discord bot to pair with brilliantdiscord - giving clubs their own channel, giving members points for using it, and so on. 🙂
  6. Is there any endpoint in the REST API to get clubs for a specific members? The other way around is mighty inefficient with lots of members per club…
  7. I already did, but figured itd have to wait for monday so may as well ask for advice
  8. So I just run into this problem. While checking some stuff I got a message that my license key needs to be renewed. I went to license key, pressed refresh license key data, now my spam defense is down. Uhhh, is there something I may have done wrong to cause this? Is there any quick fix for it? Can I just use a normal license key or will that break more? Trying to re-enter the license from the client area tells me it's not valid..
  9. That's wicked quick! Thank you 🙂
  10. @Adriano Faria could it be that "Let others see that the user follows the content" is currently broken? Its not counting it in the follower number, but I can see the names of them just by clicking the number
  11. While I do think making RSS look good is the responsibility of the reader platform (in this case IPS), I don't think it's fair to expect IPS to provide support on plugins. They're right to correct you to the author there - they don't maintain that code, they didn't get paid money for the plugin (if its a premium one), they don't know how it works, so they can't help you fix it.
  12. I looked into this myself before. There is a pretty awesome ckeditor plugin to make tables more powerful (and beautiful), I'm not sure if it does responsiveness as well, but unfortunately it doesn't work with IPS as doesn't support a required CKEditor plugin. Perhaps allowing HTML posting by yourself and just using code is the better solution? Different path, but that's what I think i'll be doing. Not sure if Headstand's plugin supports that...
  13. So this is kind of something I found a strange ommission, IPS added read receipts (very nice!) but forces them to be on. This is pretty strange, it means that if admins turn their messages on, they have to answer immediately to every message they read or take slack even if they just want to investigate. It also means users who don’t feel like responding to something end up with the user knowing, which tends to create a degree of negativity as well. I think turning it off side-wide (or even better, allowing users to do so personally) should be a core feature, or at least a plugin.
