  1. Can you confirm, I'm still using IPB 3.1.4, will this work and show a mini map in the member's portal? Thanks, JB
  2. Yes, it happened to me on IE8, they were all gone. All you have to do is refresh the page. Another issue I've found with browsers is that when adding certain custom markers the entire page goes blank, this happens rarely and it looks like it is a cache issue with google maps. I delete my browser cache and it all comes up fine. There is another issue with IE9 in that longer member names show out of the box when you click on them, all you have to tell your users is to use compatibility mode on IE9 and the member names will show up fine. IE8 and the rest of the browsers don't have this issue.
  3. Update: Our test concluded that a 12 character member name is the maximum that you can have with IE9. The rest of the browsers including IE8 right now are handing it fine and keeping it within the white box.
  4. Check out post 708 and read on. I fixed mine the simple way stated on post 719. Most issues are in prior postings. I'm now seeing another issue causing this same scenario with longer member names. It only happens with IE9, not the IE8 or the rest of the browsers. I have one moderator that is using IE9 and he is the only one seeing this. We are testing now testing the max amount of characters in a user name that IE9 likes. :) So much for progress.
  5. Showing up fine for me now with the same browser. Google must have gone out for lunch.
  6. Is something going on with google, I'm getting a blank map? I checked the demo site and it is blank as well.
  7. Yes, this works very well except when you add custom markers. You need to wait until the map is populated a bit then the custom markers will not affect the map as much. There is still the problem in where a user adds the same location such as city and State, etc... only one marker shows.
  8. Not sure what you mean. It's included in the entire page. Let me explain. I had the default (with edits) set around 3. It shows around 3/4 of North America and Europe. Every time a user visits the page this is what they see with all the markers unless they zoom to a particular area. When they change forum sections and come back to member map, the default is seen again. Well, all that went out the window when I added a custom marker. It zooms the area all the way in to show the average of markers that are listed. So if you only have 10 markers in a single area that is the area that shows as default and not the 3/4 of the world. I can see how the default view would increase in area once members from other areas start to enter their locations but until then...
  9. Regarding post 701 through 703 which the default member zoom worked fine after the edit. I noticed that when I added a custom marker it did not follow the rule and it zooms all the way in depending on the markers that have been posted taking the average of all. Apparently the custom marker section has it's own zooming code as well. Is there a code that I can edit for the maker section to work along with the member markers so it stays in the same default zoom? Thank you, JB
  10. I went ahead and changed "Remove Marker" to "Remove" and it seems to work and now shows inside the box. Can you clarify; Do I take this to mean to revert the edit adding back the string before an upgrade? Since I made an edit to the language bit only, do I have to revert this as well before an upgrade? Thank you, JB
  11. Found the language string: modRemoveMarker Remove Marker If I delete this totally, will minus icon remain to be able to delete or does icon take up a line and has to be moved?
  12. Can you direct me where to make the edit either on the template or the language string while we wait for the next release in the interim? I'm a newbie at this so any details are appreciated. When you come out with the next release, will it erase all the markers or does it store in a database and can just be updated?
  13. When a marker it's by itself you can see it fine even with the delete button txt but when markers are close and you see the blue, zoom in and look at it, that is when it's off the box. Will deleting the button txt and just leaving the button to the side of the member group or at same location work? I can always make a note to the moderators what that minus button does. Thank you.
  14. I think I might have found the problem. When a user is a global mod he sees the issue. When we remove them from that member group all is fine. It does not happen with admin. Any ideas on where to look to configure?
  15. I just tested showing other users on the test board and when I'm logged out all is good, when I'm logged in some show ok and some out of the box. You can create a test account and look at it while logged in or out. http://jeeptalk.net/jeeptalk31
