  1. I am running Videos version 3.1.11. When I upgraded to the latest version of IP Community (Version 4.1.13.2), during the upgrade, I got two error messages concerning Videos: Table 'turkeyc_tcencom2.iBBS_videos_rate' doesn't exist /home/turkeyc/public_html/applications/videos/setup/upg_10003/upgrade.php::24 Table 'turkeyc_tcencom2.iBBS_videos' doesn't exist /home/turkeyc/public_html/applications/videos/setup/upg_10016/upgrade.php::24 All of my videos are now hidden (except for one I just unhid) and the category names are not showing, just category numbers: Can you assist?
  2. Where is the topic I should have posted it in? There was a WinRAR archive file within a WinRAR ZIP archive file. Was I supposed to upload the internal WinRAR archive file through the CPanel?
  3. I just upgraded Videos. I was running version 3.1.7, and it said there was an upgrade available. So I went to IP and downloaded it. There was no .xml file, so I assumed it was just an upload of the files in the upgrade package. So I uploaded them. Now, when I go to the Videos section, I get this error: If I refresh the page, it works okay. But when I go back to it later, I get the same error again. If I click on a video, I also get the above error. But unfortunately if I refresh the page while trying to see the video, I get the error again. And in my control panel in Applications, for Videos, it still says "Update Available!" The videos section on my site affected is here: http://www.turkeycentral.com/videos/ Ken
  4. Some feedback... This app is excellent! I am running a site which gives support to foreign residents and tourists, and have lots of members who provide commercial services to them such as translations, assistance in getting residence and work permits, legal assistance, etc. With this, besides offering a general contact form, I am also able to consolidate all of their services into one place as if it is all a single staff. A lot of the services offered are regional, so I've asked Mike John to see if he can categorize the services. Then we can offer support forms first by service category, and then by city category. I don't know if that will be offered as a part of an upgrade or custom work, but regardless, the forms system is a godsend for us. And a question. I'd like to use the forms app as the only method of communication for everyone. But there are still two other contact methods, one through the default contact system, and one through Nexus. Has anybody been able to disable these, or link the default "Contact Us" to one of the forms in the Forms app? I know this topic isn't about Nexus, but I am wondering if anybody has been able to disable that contact method as well. And a suggestion. I read other posts but I am not sure if it's the same thing I need. It would be great if the forms could be configured like a regular content page. For example, for a legal services form, I could put a short bio of the lawyer who provides the services, and even a photo, floated right or left, or other things that I can do in other parts of IP Community. At the moment there are "form rules" I believe, which have a forced styling with a blue background. It would be great if it could be more versatile, allowing me to add anything I want to the form above the form fields.
    The Company Directory can be used for anything which has a geographic location. It is perfect for us. Our site has to do with foreigners who visit or live in Turkey. With this application we now have a directory of all of the places foreigners need to go to get a residence permit, a driver's license, etc... the water companies, the electric companies, shopping malls, etc. Not only that, but we can also create pages for the numerous ancient sites of Turkey, as well as the entertainment locations, beaches, everything. Local businesses have now expressed a strong desire to be in our directory. Many have referred friends to us. And a page, if you have all of the info and photos ready, only takes around 30 minutes to make. I'll be traveling around this summer showing our directory to various business owners and selling pages to them. This application will be a real money-maker for us. The support is also good. While we've have had a few implementation problems, Spanner has been quick to respond and get things working.
  5. Great to hear that guests will be able to use the Commerce Support form. Just for your additional consideration the next time you discuss the issue... Guests are contacting me most every day for support using the contact form, because they can't use the support system. They have only a single need or question, and don't necessarily want to join the community. They are also using it to ask questions which have already been answered in the forums, or that they should ask in the forums. Having the "Support" function available for guests would allow me to set up departments so all requests, from members or guests, go directly to various expert staff members who can help them, I can also add a message telling them to post routine questions in the forum rather than using the contact form. After all, that's why we have a forum.
  6. Ah! I got it! Thank you Broni! I may be stating the obvious, but it wasn't so obvious to me, so I will explain for anybody else who comes along. Under the title "Search and display options," there is a text box with "greyed out" code like this: <strong>{title}:</strong>{content} But it isn't actual code. The text box is actually empty, and the "code" is only an example of what you should put there if you want the flags to show up with the members' posts. You have to literally write that same code into the box, even though it looks like it already contains that code. I did so, and the flags are now displaying along with member info with every post they make.
  7. Installed and working, looks great! But I'd like the flags to display on the left of members' posts. I'm seeing this in the help documentation: Where do I "Click to edit your profile field"? When I click on "Profile Fields," that is, when I click on the pencil icon to edit, it displays "Edit Group Name." I see no "search & display options" anywhere. How would I get the flags to display with their posts?
  8. Can you make the city optional? I have a lot of ancient sites in Turkey to add, and a lot of them are not near cities. Currently a city is required, so I have to enter the name of some very small nearby town. And I will end up with a LOT of these small towns on the city list, known for nothing other than that they are near some ancient city. The reason I mention this is because of this: No City Asked For! I was entering an ancient site, and the Company Directory didn't ask me for a city. So I added the ancient site in a province (state) without a city, and it worked fine. Which was just what I wanted. I later figured out that it was because I had no cities under Bursa province. But as soon as I added the first city to Bursa province, I was then forced to choose that city. Spanner, in the next upgrade, would you please make the city optional so we can add stuff which is somewhere in a province, but not in or near a city?

  10. I just created a page for a government office and posted the link for it on Facebook. For some reason, the Facebook logo is not appearing, nor is other info that usually does. It looks like this: All that displays is the URL to the main page (it does go to the correct company page though). When I have done this before, it looked like this: Which is the way it is supposed to look. I haven't changed anything other than upgrading to the latest version of 3.x and uploading security updates. Can you assist?

  12. I've been with Invision Power since the days it only produced the forum. I had no idea at the time what a great choice I had made at the time. This upgrade of the IP community software is the biggest and most complex upgrade ever. If it was 3.x to 3.x, for example, it could be done more easily. But Invision Power has gone completely back to the drawing board and re-built EVERYTHING from bottom to top and left to right, as if it is a completely new community suite. So what spanner is doing now is probably like re-creating the whole company directory, all over again. The Company Directory is also going to be a major part of our site. Spanner has provided excellent support for us. We've been giving him feedback on various things, and he has promptly responded to us every time. It seems to me that this Company Directory is a LOT more complex than most of the other third-party add-ons. It is far better than any other business directory I have seen. And for what it does, there must be a heck of a lot of coding involved. I'm also anxious to see the 4.x version, but I'm also willing to wait and let Spanner take the time to make sure everything is right. Based on past support Spanner has provided us, I am sure that he is working hard on this upgrade.
  13. An alert for everybody, especially Spanner... When you enter the website URL for a business, if you don't enter the full http://www.website.com.tr/like that, for example if you just enter www.website.com.trit will not go to the website. It will just present the company profile again.
