  1. Would you care to back up that statement with some test results? Do try this htaccess and run page speed tests, see the differences for yourself. Post those results here for us to see.
  2. Just tried it, the file still exists? It works on 4.7 also. Editing to embed because the link in the original post has since changed:
  3. I'd use Font Awesome icons so everything matches. Emojis will look different on each device type.
  4. This file is not effected by the SEO changes, in case anyone is wondering.
  5. I have shared all of the information I received. The Invision team has been working to reproduce this issue. I'd recommend submitting a ticket so they can further investigate if it's happening to you as well. @Jim M @Stuart Silvester
  6. The entire fact of the matter is about having to create another account on another website that a person likely would not return to, solely for a file. This fact, though clearly stated, seems to be missed. There's lots of places that have free software - allow downloads for their software, components, plugins, etc - all without requiring an account. A few examples: https://www.foobar2000.org/components https://forums.getpaint.net/forum/44-plugin-packs/ (Hosted on an Invision forum, too!) My own website has software I've developed and offer for free, same with tech support. There is no forced registration requirements to download, to post asking for help, or to download attachments. My goal with my software is that I want to reach as many people as possible, and help those who need it. I do not care about trying to artificially inflate my website's numbers with accounts of people just coming to download software or a quick question. It serves no purpose or point. If people want to stick around that's their choice - they are not obligated or forced to for any reason. Even here in the Marketplace I offer a custom .htaccess file to help people speed up their websites and have them load more efficiently. Freely distributed, no price on it, simply there to help others with a similar goal. One thing is for certain, everyone has their own goals and decisions they believe is the best. You have to make bad decisions to learn and make good decisions. I do believe this is a contributing factor as to why there are so many disposable emails/account services online.
  7. I'm sorry that you disagree with an accurate representation and comparison for sharing files. Though, while we're at it. Since it's your site and all, why not upload the file here to the Marketplace? Or perhaps this is an attempt to draw more traffic to your website? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say I don't think that's the case.
  8. The issue has been resolved, and so quickly at that. In case anyone experiences the issue in the future I'm sharing what I was informed. I'll post updates as I receive them.
  9. Issue is it's locked behind an account system when it does not need to be. I've also been a paying customer for many years, there's a difference. I'm paying for the product and support - as a bonus I have access to the Marketplace. To both: It'd be like requiring an account to download a file from BetaNews, FileHippo, Softpedia, or even from Google to get Chrome - Mozilla for Firefox, etc. You don't need accounts at any of those sites to download the software which is available for free. For the sake of privacy and security practices, why should i have to give out my email on a random site I've never visited before today, to download a file maybe once or twice a year? That's likely why there are so many services where you can get disposable emails. It's really just an issue with permissions that should be changed.
  10. Free but you need an account to download the file? 👎
  11. @Jim M Thank you, and for the email. Currently at work but I will address this as quickly as I can. I appreciate you and your team reaching out.
  12. @David.. I have not yet opened a ticket. Was looking into resolving this myself if I could.
  13. I've dug into this and I have not been able to determine the cause. So far I have: Uninstalled the few plugins and hooks I had installed. Cleared caches Tried different browsers Tried using an older topics.php Resetting CKEditor toolbars Looked to reset themes, but they were already stock. Anyone have any ideas or know of something I should check that I have missed? This started as soon as I upgraded to 4.6.6. 14. It'd be great if you could mention what lines are causing the issue/conflict.
  15. Just want to say I would not use/trust that service. Think about what it does. Everything you type is keylogged. That may very well include your passwords, banking information, and more.
  16. This has been resolved. No actual updates or changes have been made to the htaccess.
  17. Unfortunately this file where I flagged that it's compatible with the 4.5 release is being rejected. 😞 There have been no changes to the htaccess since June 15, 2016. The only thing that has is simply marking the compatibility with the 4.5 release of the forums. I'm working to see if I can resolve this issue.
  18. I'd love to see your before and after, @borangeatx
  19. There are no changes to this new version, only marking compatibility with 4.5.x.

    hCaptcha support

A plugin is nice and all, but it requires maintenance on both ends. Support for this being integrated into the IPS platform is more ideal.
  21. Will 4.5 include support for hCaptcha? CloudFlare just switched to it due to growing privacy concerns with Google. https://blog.cloudflare.com/moving-from-recaptcha-to-hcaptcha/
  22. Just a friendly reminder and clarification. I only offer support here in this thread for the htaccess instead of via PM. This is because if someone else has the same issues, Instead of having someone who may search for the answer and not be able to find it because it was done via PM. I want that information to be publicly available and allow for quick resolutions for those who may encounter similar issues. Thanks
  23. No updates have actually been made. I've simply checked the generated IPS 4.4 .htaccess for changes. The file is fully 4.4 compatible.
  24. @priyesh.mehta94@gmail.com this was designed with focus on Apache.
