Enable SSL because of new Google guidelines

Hi,

I checked earlier and I haven't saved it, thought I had. I could work it out for you, but would recommend Rhett's advice and to be honest they are the experts. The Support Tool didn't fix it for me (perhaps it now does) which is why I had to use a simple update query to replace any http links to my site to https using phpMyAdmin (after taking a backup) for this and also a few other table columns like for Gallery cover images, that possibly due to an upgrade from an earlier version, were hard coded URLs.

Regards,

Graham

That's great news, Rhett. Thanks.

Seriously!

It's possible I just went through a bunch of chit and lost a year of posts because I was told that upgrading to the new IPB was the way to get official support and then finally get rid of my threats. Well...it didn't. I had to make changes afterwards. Google cleared my site...but it's not 100% clear yet. I really miss my 3.4.6 setup I had.

Please don't run any manual queries, they are not needed nor recommended, if you need assistance, please submit a ticket and we can assist you. The only thing needed to clear that in most cases is running the support tool to clear the cache after changing to https though.

I ran into the same problems now as mentioned before and therefore found this topic. 3.4 profile images stored in /uploads/profile/ were not upgraded automatically after a switch to SSL and the support tool also doesn’t fix it. The full http URL to the images seems to be stored in the member table and is used on the front end.

I already opened a support ticket, but that might take a while considering it’s a weekend. If anyone has any tips regarding this problem …
