Next to it is my own 4.x site with icons manually created and linked through the global template. I am suggesting that in the theme settings, where the site logo and sharer image are uploaded, a section gets added to allow the upload of a mobile icon image, which is then automatically scaled to different sizes and added to the site header. Makoto Posted May 7, 2016 Share Posted May 7, 2016 Yep, this is essentially what the Advanced Favicons application is for, It automatically generates favicons for all devices (mobile and desktop) using a single base image, among other optional mobile specific design tweaks.
