By FlitterkillThis plugin forces user links to display member group color/formatting.
This applies in all places where the \IPS\Member object is used to produce links to a member.
With Version 3, this plugin now supports Search and Stream results with some caveats. Any changes to the Core - System - searchResults template will likely break this plugin, at least as far as those pages go (but if they break you'll probably need to disable this entirely). There seem to be some systemic problems with theme hooks within this template (or at least while IN_DEV) so I needed to grab most of the template to do what needed to be done. This template needs to be fiddled with due to the fact that IPS does not use the \IPS\Member object in Search and Stream result creation but rather fetches a handful of fields from the member database directly. This results in the author/member names being dumped in as plain text and formatted with language keys. I had to force-feed group formatting into the mix and then change all the language calls to allow for html to parse correctly. You will notice that possessives are NOT formatted (i.e. Flitterkill's topic, etc...) You'll have to live with that until I get drunk enough to want to bother with accounting for possessives. It will not be "fun".
On profile view, your status update name remains unformatted but replies are formatted. Also keep in mind that your user name in the cover photo and also on profile hovercards (when you cursor over a username/photo and the mini profile appears) - those usernames remain unformatted and probably should remain that way. See below.
This remains UNSUPPORTED! You can shoot me a PM if there are problems (or if that template gets changed) but do not expect instantaneous fixes/support.
This plugin will display 2 letters in the profile letter, if the user has 2 names, like Adriano Faria.
Exclude word: First letter from these words will not be used in the avatar. You can see above it excluded the "di" word. Note:
This change does not happen automatically for users already registered. It will occur after they change their display name. Compatibility:
IPS Community 4.2
By MakotoThis is a simple plugin which does just what the title says: it hides "empty" reviews.
When upgrading your community from 3.4.x, you are able to convert "ratings" to "reviews" in the new system. However, these converted ratings all end up being displayed as reviews with no associated text, which is unsightly and generates pointless clutter.
This plugin allows you to keep ratings from the old system and simply hides them from view the reviews tab. This means old ratings will still count towards an items overall rating, but the review page won't be cluttered with those empty reviews.
Members will still see their own review, regardless; this way a member who previously rated a file in the old system can still edit their review and add content to it after you upgrade.
If you found this useful, be sure to check out my other marketplace submissions as well! Tips are also super appreciated!
This plugin will hide the Dismiss button in the profile completition message.
IPS style header block for displaying messages and links across the the top of your board. Use either the built in message formats or set you own custom formatting.
Show/Hide Message. Select which groups can see the message. Set a start and end date for the message to display. Display the message on selected pages based on a whitelist or blacklist User can hide message if permitted by admin. 4 built in message formats. Custom message format including; icon, text colour and alignment, background colour. Supports multilingual sites. Compatible with 4.2

All the things you want changed or restored in one single plugin! Everything including as they say...
Restores topic stats! Topic authors can always edit first posts! Customize the breadcrumb! Remove the Create menu! Better IPS update notifications! Change the lightbox! More!
There are many small things with the IPS suite that need to be customize-able or restored from the 3x series. I could write a bajillion single-use plugins or I can put some effort into it, pile them all into one plugin, and make a few bucks for the work (and she is wrapping up her second cancer in three years so yes, money good...)
So this includes...?
NEW IN 12! Disable both the quote and multi-quote buttons in post view to force users to select specific text to quote instead of entire posts.
NEW IN 12! Add forum descriptions beneath forum titles in forums index view. Be careful (see support topic).
Customize the breadcrumb! Remove the last element, swap out the home icon, etc. Control appearance of Mark Site Read and Unread Content (just words, just icons, or move them out of the breadcrumb to the user menu). Square up the appearance of the search entry area. Customize the light box! Full screen effect? White instead of black? Yes! Change the follow button to match standard IPS button style and move to the forum/topic button rail. More! Customize the error page. Change the FA icon, swap it out for an image, more! Enable a compact star rating display! Userbar:
Disable the Create menu. Replace the Create menu appearance with just a FontAwesome icon. I recommend fa-pencil. Remove all horizontal separators in the userbar. Change the member menu dropdown link. Leave it as the default avatar and member name, just member name, or just avatar. Calendar:
When you scroll down, the view title (day, month, week, etc.) is pinned to the very top edge of the browser. Adds padding to make it look much better. Square up those calendar and event tags from those rounded monstrosities. Make the cover photo header area for events much bigger (larger event title font too). Forums and Topics:
Restores the 3x series topic count statistic on forum index views. Yes, it's back! Can choose to display post count, topic count or both on forum index views. Add a locked icon badge in front of topic titles in topic view when a topic is locked (similar to pinned and featured posts). Change start new topic, moderator option, etc. links in topic view to appear as buttons instead of text links. Disable reply to topic button if you like (no one really uses it anymore...) Fully customize-able new posts separator in topic view. Set some basic info in custom.css and then use the full editor here to add content! Change number of topics listed per page on forum view (same as one of my free plugins). Add a last reply time blurb on topic view in conversational language. Support for non-English languages available (see support topic) First posts:
Allow all topic authors to edit their first posts regardless of any edit time restrictions in the ACP. You can even configure this on a per-forum basis! Post view:
A bunch of structural options. Hide the multi-quote button. Move the quote and/or edit buttons under the options menu. Change the options menu to a single gear icon. IPS Upgrades:
For admins with permissions to view upgrade announcements this replaces the full page width upgrade announcement header with a pulsing download icon in the userbar. Clicking it displays a popup with the complete upgrade information.
(The pulse is sped up for the gif. It's slower on normal upgrades; security upgrades will pulse faster but not this fast (and they pulse red!)
I've probably forgotten some stuff. And there is more to come too!
Can I ask for something to be changed or included?
Yes, absolutely! That's kind of the whole point of this. There are some basic rules though. If I think it is too involved, or I think that once I start it that it would be better off as it's own plugin I'll pass. Just ask in the support topic and we'll go from there. I decide in the end, you may or may not like my decisions...
What if IPS changes something and...
If they add something into the suite that I fixed/added here then it will probably be removed from Kitchen Sink. No need to duplicate functionality. If something in this plugin breaks due to a change in the IPS Suite I'll of course try to fix it if it is fixable. Or I might remove it until it can be fixed; I expect things to change over the years - you should too.
Seems to be forums heavy...
Yep. I can only target what I'm most familiar with. If you need something with the other applications speak up! The focus of this plugin is on the Core, Calendar, and Forums. I can fold in some stuff from the other apps if they are small things but otherwise I've got something else in the works for Gallery, Commerce, and Downloads (yes, another all in one...probably).
Anything on the ACP side?
No but... Spacious ACP! Get that! Especially since I'm due to rewrite it and it will include a Kitchen Sink-like plugin to tackle any ACP things that need to be done!
This <feature> isn't working on my site!
If you have custom.css that conflicts, or your custom theme has moved elements around, and so on, there is not a lot I can do. I can give you some help in the support topic but the further you (or theme authors) move away from the default IPS structure the harder it will be for plugins to work. Most of Kitchen Sink should work for everyone. I do not support modified themes but I'll lend a hand as I can time permitting. This plugin is FULLY tested on a fresh 126.96.36.199 installation of the IPS suite with no other plugins loaded and no custom.css.
There is actually more in the hopper for doing but much of the dev here is in maintenance mode until we get the 4.2 alphas as I'd rather not put a ton of work into stuff that will need to be removed or changed in a month or two.
$10 to buy, $5 every six months. That's $8.50 and $4 to me after IPS fees. Regular renewals keep me perky enough to want to support this wonderful monster. Your renewals get you support, bug fixes, and new features too! You don't have to renew of course but if you lapse too long I might make you just buy it outright again.
One buy, one site. Feel free to use on your test site if you have one of course. If you lapse on renewals so long that I tell you to buy it again that does NOT mean you now have licenses to two separate copies.
Be sure to drag KS to the top of your list of plugins in the ACP. The order of the plugins in that list is the order in which they are built out into the IPS system and given that KS does so much stuff, to avoid conflicts with other plugins, drag it all the way to the top!

By CheshirSpecial thanks to user @newbie LAC for the invaluable help when creating the plugin.
The plugin displays the parent category "Downloads" the files in the subcategories. Very strange that this function is not used, the developers of the IPS, almost all engines use this feature by default.

Who Viewed the Topic
Track and display members that have viewed topics!
Pop-up modal and widget options!
This is the long-delayed enhanced update to Topic Viewed by Users. New stuff includes...
Configurable number-per-page in the pop-up modal. Somewhat limited for now as this is going to get some upgrades in the near-term. Option to not display the pop-up modal button if you are using widgets instead. New widget display! Widget can display avatars, names, or group-formatted names! IPS style widgets (as formatted by your theme) or a "Spartan" option which is just a simple gray box. Avatars configurable to display at three standard IPS sizes: tiny, mini, and small. Configurable limit to the number of members that will display in the widgets. Viewers over the limit get summed up and appended as a count i.e. "and 29 more..." This is a standard IPS widget - stick it on the top, bottom or sidebar.
This is a re-write of the original plugin. The database tables are different so that data will not be read or written to. Consider this an entirely separate plugin and you are starting from scratch. You should probably uninstall the other plugin as well.
This is a vanilla cached widget. That means it respects the cache time you have set in the ACP under System - Settings - Advanced Configuration and will only change the display of who viewed based on that. Default is 5 minutes.
On installation there will be no data for the widget to read until you get people viewing the topics from that point forward. Also, the initial addition of a widget to a page probably kicks off the cache timer on the widget. Give it a few minutes before the widgets begin to display data.
When you move a widget around on the page, the data in the widget gets "lost". Once you save the widget position, just refresh the page afterwards and you'll be good to go again.

By FlitterkillSpacious ACP with Spacious Widgets!
Better visibility! More information! Totally Customizable! New Widgets!
March 20th. 2017: Major Refresh! See the change notes or support topic for all the details or peruse the new screenshots.
Originally I wanted an ACP theme that would display more options/information on a smaller sized laptop screen (i.e. 1600x900) and provide some customization. I've now re-written Spacious to be a more well-rounded modern look rather than focusing almost exclusively on compact information display. The result is a customizable ACP that still retains the denser information views of the older versions.
More compact primary and secondary menus to fit more more menu options on the screen at a time. Reduced icon sizes as well. Header, primary, and secondary menu background colors fully changeable. Header, primary, and secondary menu font colors fully changeable. Removes the section header background and enlarges the section title for a clean modern look. Margins reduced across the board, interior tab elements styled more compactly. Change the name of the ACP to whatever you want. Latest IPS news and Admins Online widgets have been altered for better display. Optional modern-style dashboard widget format. New look for ACP warnings and new version announcements are now a single alert bar you click to expand to a details modal. No more wall of text destroying the dashboard! Subtle animation effect when moving between ACP areas. Feels app-like! Other under-the-hood changes...
The Spacious ACP theme comes with bonus dashboard widgets to fill in the gaps left by the rather lackluster IPS dashboard widgets. Includes:
System Overview: Real-time server load, IPS installation size, IPS database size, memory available (or free), storage space available, options for Community in the Cloud customers, and more!
Gallery Overview: Mostly a rework of the default Gallery widget but with better formatting and it now displays the four most popular images in the Gallery.
Forum Statistics: The most glaring IPS omission. Sparkline trends for both topics created and responses made. Lots more - check it out!
Member Statistics: Major upgrade over the default IPS member statistics dashboard widget. Configurable. Google chart bits. Neat!
System Errors: Lists last five (max) system errors so you can actually see what problems are occurring under the hood. Direct links to error reports and system error page.
SimilarWeb: A website ranking/tracking service. Two SW default widgets for tracking visitor types and relative rankings, embedded in a single IPS dashboard widget. The rankings widget can have two additional websites added for tracking alongside your own site.
Alexa: Get your Alexa ranking (for whatever that's worth...) right in your dashboard. Both global and national. Updates daily (though Alexa updates rankings once a week) and flags trending up or down from previous check.
Database Overview: First run at this. Just a few basic stats. More on this later.
Most Active Topics Last 3 Days: As stated. Based on topic responses only. Maximum five listed. Useful for large boards where you are likely to overlook where the action is at any given time.
Login Page Customization: You'll find it under Spacious Widgets - Settings.
Dash Buttons: Add some more quick link buttons to the top of the dashboard - administrator logs, moderator logs, tasks, and a super-convenient clear caches button!
For Spacious ACP install the .xml file as a new theme under Customization in your ACP. Be sure to assign permissions for the theme to Admins only. As before, this is exclusively an ACP theme; not a front end theme. To change the Spacious ACP settings just edit the theme settings as you usually do. All the Spacious options are under the Spacious ACP tab within that area; you may edit the other options (default theme options) but they may or may not have any effect.
For Spacious Widgets install the .tar file as a new Application. All configuration of Spacious Widgets can be found under it's own menu option which you will find under the Customization tab in the ACP. This is where you can configure the System Overview widget if you are a Community in the Cloud customer, change the SimilarWeb widget settings to add up to two additional websites to track alongside yours, change the appearance of the ACP login page, and more.
To add the new widgets to your dashboard just click the add button on the dashboard, choose and then drag them where you want them to be. Be aware that both Forum and Member Statistics only support the large display widget area. All the others can be used in the large or small areas.
Heads Up! Widgets with Google Charts in them will render weird when you first drag them onto the dashboard. Just refresh the page.
In the support topic. This initial release will have some quirks with responsive css on Phone view plus left-to-right language support is pretty much nil right now. Also language bits. I need to add more variables so you can at least translate some stuff in the widgets.
Some of the new widgets give you a sampling of statistical information you probably want about your site and though you can request that I add some things of this nature to Spacious Widgets they will probably NOT be added as that will require storing substantial information in the database. That's well beyond the scope of an ACP theme and some add-on widgets. Better off in a separate application where it can be done right.
Keep in mind that in some server/hosting situations some data I try to read for the System Overview widget may not be accessible. Do not buy this if the Server Overview widget is the only thing you are interested in. No refunds will be approved due to some elements of that widget not working correctly on your site.
Specifically, you will need allow read access to the /proc directory on Centos/Red Hat/Ubuntu systems and in some cases you may have an Apache setting called open_basedir preventing this. A simple file edit on your server will usually solve this. VestaCP users will need to edit some configuration templates to change this variable.
$10/$5 every six months. Basically $10 a year once you get going for a customizable ACP and a bunch of new dashboard widgets (with more on the way!). Feel free to skip a renew if you must but if you skip more than one renewal and try to renew more than a year later and I may just have you buy it outright again. Renewals keep us devs going! Licensed for your IPS site bound to your IPS account plus any/all dev boards (localhost or otherwise). Other sites should/need to get their own licensed copy of Spacious ACP.
I'm building a bunch of IPS stuff, check it out:

By TDBFWhat does it do?
This plug-in prevents your members from trying to steal attention, by entering a title in purely uppercasing with lots of punctuation. The Plug-in will try and strip the text to a more readable format that is constant with your board posting guidelines.
Case Types: There are 5 different types of casing that you can use. No Modification, Sentence Case, Upper Case, Lower Case and Title Case. Excessive Punctuation: This tries to reduce excessive punctuation from the title. This will turn ??????? to ? and !!!!!! to !. Exception Words: These are word of your choosing that will never have their casing changed, regardless of your plug-in settings. If the word is upper case, all of these words in the title will be forced Upper case for example. Remove Characters: These are characters that will be removed regardless of how many there are in the title text. Names that begin with O', Mc or Mac will be processed automatically from o'neill to O'Neill or mcneill to McNeill.
At the moment, only the Forum Topics and Pages Applications will have their titles changed.
Please note: This is a RC version and use on a production site at your own risk.
You can email email@example.com for assistance with the IPS Marketplace. We cannot provide support for IPS Marketplace downloads.
